From a Small Illinois Trailhead to the Granite Cliffs of Glacier Point Karin & Jeff’s Sunrise to Sunset Yosemite Elopement
Some couples just have that energy—you meet them, and you instantly know you’re going to adore them. That was Karin and Jeff. From the moment we connected, we could tell they were our kind of people: adventurous, kind, and ready to celebrate love in the wild. Their story started exactly one year ago when they met at an Illinois trailhead and ended up hiking together, so it was only fitting that they chose to elope in one of the most incredible places—Yosemite National Park.
Karin and Jeff exchanged vows at Glacier Point as the sun started rising over the horizon, lighting up the valley. It was short, sweet, and absolutely perfect. Jenny had the honor of officiating, making the moment even more personal. There’s just something about saying “I do” with Yosemite stretching out behind you—it’s intimate and epic all at once.
With the formalities out of the way, we spent the rest of the day doing what we all love most—exploring. Jeff had been to Yosemite once, years ago, but for Karin, it was her first time. Watching her take it all in, from the granite cliffs to the quiet forests, was pure magic. We took them to some of our favorite spots, making sure they got to experience the best of Yosemite.
As the day wrapped up, we hiked out to Taft Point for sunset. It was the perfect way to end an already incredible day. Standing at the edge, looking out over the valley with the sky glowing in shades of orange and pink, Karin and Jeff held each other close, soaking it all in. From sunrise to sunset and well after the stars came out, their elopement was everything they had hoped for—and we couldn’t be happier to have been part of it.
Till our next adventure,
Jenny + Helder ᨒ↟
